This year’s Rock The Bells (held back on August 21 at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino California) featured hip-hop’s best, such as Snoop Dogg, Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang, Rakim, Slick Rick, Immortal Technique, Wiz Khalifa, and many more. However, the biggest highlight was a special performance by none other than Lauryn Hill, which had to be the favored artist of the night!
Another highlight of the night was the fact that Six of the most landmark hip-hop albums were performed in their entirety: Rakim’s Paid in Full, Slick Rick’s Adventures of Slick Rick, KRS One’s Criminal Minded, Tribe Called Quest’s Midnight Marauders, The Wu-Tang Clan’s Enter the 36 Chambers, and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle.
The estimated attendance at RTB LA was 25,000-30,000, which made for a packed show! DUB also had a booth in the midst of all the musical madness.
