Meguilar’s Wraptivo system is pretty impressive. Using their online system, you can design your own vinyl wrap and have it shipped to a shop for installation. Total cost? Under $1,700 for most cars — a tiny sliver of the price of a custom paint job, but the effect is just as cool.
This year, they’ll highlight the system with a “carbon fiber” Honda CR-Z at SEMA. Just unveiled, the Type F CR-Z has a black-and-carbon-fiber look that gives Honda’s new hybrid a shot of attitude it badly needs.
But the Type F isn’t just a showpiece. It’s got a supercharger, a new ECU and a custom exhaust. Power figures haven’t been announced, but that has the potential to add some serious speed to the little runabout. It sits on Volk TE37 wheels. The improvements will be tested at the Super Lap Battle sponsored by Source Interlink Media the week after the show.
The cabin features Recaro buckets and Alcantara trim.
