The 2012 DUB Show Season is upon us and we have lots of exciting things in store at the upcoming Houston DUB Show at the Reliant Center from Jan. 25-29 as part of the Houston Auto Show. Besides showcasing some of the world’s hottest custom rides, we’ll be bringing out two of the UFC’s toughest guys who fight out of The Lone Star State: Yves Edwards and TJ Waldburger.
The lightweight Yves Edwards, who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and fights out of Austin, will be signing autographs for fans on Jan. 28. With a record of 41-18-1, Edwards enjoys finding weaknesses in his opponents and exploiting it. He’s accomplished 15 wins by KO and 17 by submission. Having fought in Pride, Edwards admits being a part of the UFC means he “has another shot at being the best in the world.” He’s faced Fabiano Iha, Nate Marquardt, Rumina Sato, Joachim Hansen, Mike Brown and Duane Ludwig.
Welterweight TJ Waldburger will appear the following day on Jan. 29 to meet and greet with fans. Originally from Temple, TX, but fights out of Belton, his favorite grappling technique is the Figure Four Underwear Toe Hold, with the Backfist by John Pseduo his favorite striking technique. With a 12-6-0 record (11 wins by submission, 1 by TKO), Waldburger has defeated UFC vets e Spratt and Brian Foster and has also fought Josh Neer and Ricardo Funch.
