German BMW tuner AC Schnitzer has tuned the MINI to be a fast ass road warrior, calling their speed demon the C Schnitzer Raptor. Based on the MINI JCW Coupe, the Raptor achieved a fastest lap time of 1:10.87 on the world famous Hockenheim circuit. That’s 1.11 seconds quicker than the fastest MINI from the previous year, which was also their very own AC Schnitzer Eagle based on the MINI JCW. This lap time placed it in the company of real sports cars such as the Pagani Zonda F while beating out a Ferrari 599 GTB and a Porsche 911 GTS. The tuners increased output from 208 bhp to 296 bhp via new engine management, turbo and intercooler as well as a stainless steel exhaust system with racing catalyst. They also added a sport clutch, limited slip differential and lightweight ion battery, as well as a racing suspension, antiroll bars and a roll cage and some carbon fiber components used in place of the hood, door panels, luggage lid, rear diffuser and rear wing to reduce weight.
