Last year, the three-time and reigning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion, Tony Stewart, swapped cars with Formula 1 World Champion Driver Lewis Hamilton for a day. This year, Mobil 1 is asking race fans to Choose Tony’s Ride. From now through Aug. 27, fans who visit the “Choose Tony’s Ride with Mobil 1” app on the Mobil 1 Facebook page (and LIKE the Mobil 1 page) will be able to choose from four vehicles through three rounds of voting:
· A 1999 Chevrolet Astro van (which seats 8 and is ideal for transporting groups of family & friends)
· An M36 GMC Jackson Tank, used by the United States during World War II
· A Mobil 1 Racing-edition Corvette Grand Sport
· The Mobil 1 Formula Drift Chevy Camaro SS driven by Tyler McQuarrie in the Formula Drift Series
The voting will be done in three rounds, and fans may vote once per day during each round. During the week of Aug. 7 to Aug. 13, the Chevy Astro minivan will face off with the M36 GMC Jackson Tank. From Aug. 14 to Aug. 20, fans can vote for either the Chevy Corvette Grand Sport or the Formula Drift Chevy Camaro SS. The winners of the two previous weeks will go head-to-head during a final round of voting from Aug. 21 to Aug. 27. Tony Stewart will reveal the winning ride on Tuesday, August 28 during a special exhibition at CMS before the NASCAR race the following Sunday.
