Motor Trend published their picks for the collector cars of tomorrow and some of their chosen soon-to-be-classics are quite surprising! While compiling their list, they took three things into consideration when thinking which present-day vehicles would one day become collectibles: Significance to either the automaker or industry, rarity (which very well may leave a few significant cars off this list), and styling with staying power. Coming in at No. 10 is BMW’s M3 with the CTS-V Wagon from Cadillac following. At 8 is Chevy’s Corvette ZR1, then the EV Fisker Karma and Shelby GT500 by Ford, with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X coming in at No. 5. The Nissan GT-R took fourth place, while Saab’s 9-5 store third. The SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition came close to being No. 1, but that was stolen by the Tesla Model S Signature Performance sine it’s the first all-electric car that has it all!
