Toyota Racing Development (TRD) released new accessories for the 2014 Lexus IS and they’re available now in Japan. It features a an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front spoiler, revised side skirts, a rear diffuser and a trunk-mounted spoiler. Other options also include a four-tailpipe sports exhaust system and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. TRD offers underbody member braces, a rear “performance damper” and a sport-tuned suspension with new shocks and springs for improved handling.

Last week we informed you about the custom Nissan GT-R that was built to compete in the 2013 Gumball 3000 rally and now we have more info on that sweet ride! Built by Saudi Arabia’s Team Galag, the car is dubbed TG1 and as co-developed with Parker Brothers Concepts from United States. They enlisted Litchfield Motors from the UK to be in charge of the engine upgrades which now pushes out 750 ponies, allowing it to go from 0-62 mph in only 2.68 seconds before hitting a top speed of 211 mph. It rides on 21-inch alloys and weighs about 3,600 lbs. thanks to a carbon fiber body.

Aton Martin has released a video that shows off its CC100 Concept that’s a tribute to their 1959 DBR1 racer which triumphed at Le Mans and has a classic two-seat speedster configuration with modern AM styling details. It features a carbon fiber body work and a V12 6.0-liter mill linked to a 6-speed automated manual gearbox. It has a 0-62 mph time of a little over 4 seconds and an electronically limited speed of 180 mph. The concept was developed and built in less than six months at the company’s global headquarters in Gaydon, UK. Only one car has been produced and it has already sol for about a price of $770,000 and $1,540,000.

The kit includes aero bits — side skirts, reworked front and rear bumpers with lower air deflectors, a diffuser and a more aggressive wing. The pipes get reworked as well, with four exhaust tips in place of two.

Mechanically, it’s all about suspension, with an upgraded sway bar, strengthened bracing, and upgraded shocks, springs and dampers to combat body roll. It’s available on 19-inch alloys.

In Japan, the full set of upgrades would cost you a little over 1.2 million yen (just over $11k).

We expect to see the same equipment make its way stateside in a few months.

Sean Carter who is considered to be the preeminent mogul of the hip-hop industry has decided to dabble his hand into the world of sports. Mr. Carter, aka Jay-Z, is the owner of Roc Nation, which is a music talent agency for starts, including Rihanna, Meek Milli, Wale, MIA and Mark Ronson. Jay-Z has made a decisive and strategic move to enter the world of sports marketing and agency. The title of his new sports agency is Roc Nation Sports. Recently, Roc Nation brokered an alliance with Creative Artist Agency to represent a notable baseball player for the Yankees. When it comes to business and making money, Jay-Z has that Midas touch. His credentials list the distribution of record-breaking sales for his Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt albums and the creation of popular urban wear brand Rocawear, which is sold at major retailers. However, his successes have been matched by a failure along the way. Recently, Jay-Z sold his minority stake hold in the Brooklyn Nets, which was an extremely poor basketball team. Hopefully, his new agency will produce far more success than his previous venture into the world of sports.

Johan Schwartz shattered the Guinness World Record for longest sustained drift in a BMW M5 Sedan on ContiSportContact 5P’s at the BMW Performance Center in Greenville, South Carolina on Saturday, May 11, 2013, when he completed a total of 322.5 laps around the 841-foot (circumference) BMW Performance Center skid pad. The ContiSportContact 5P is an original equipment (OE) tire on BMW. The ultra-high performance tire is tuned for drivers seeking grip in dry and wet conditions without sacrificing comfort and performance. The previous Guinness World Drift Record was set back in February in Abu Dhabi with a total distance of 6.94 miles (11.18 kilometers). As a kick-off event to a week of activities leading up to the BMW Charity Pro-Am, the event generated over $20,000 in charitable donations.

Gemballa released more info on its new styling kit for the 12C Spider after it launched back in March at the Geneva Motor Show. The aerodynamic package is made in Germany from from carbon fiber and features front and rear bumpers, side skirts, together with custom tailpipes and a logo kit. The interior features a cabin wrapped in either leather or Alcantara in any desired color, while the instrument dials and brake calipers can also receive a different hue.
