2011 DUB Show: Chicago Recap

Chicago 2011 DUB Show

On Saturday, July 16th, it was Chi-Town’s turn to experience DUB culture, as we visited the McCormick Place for the ninth stop of our 2011 DUB Show Tour. Car crews came out strong this year and really showed us who runs car culture in The Windy City! So far, it seems like this stop featured some of the sickest Lowriders on the tour! Big props to all the clubs and exhibitors who represented, and congrats to Auto Art for taking home “Best Booth” and “Retail Shop Car.”The “DUB Magazine Project” booth was packed all day with people waiting in line to cop one of the new shirts, while UFC fans got their fix, as fighter Miguel Torres signed autographs in the UFC booth while Toyo Tires featured Anthony Pettis in their display. Ford’s display showcased what happens when we customize new rides like the new Fiesta, along with their Focus, Explorer, Mustang and Taurus.

Sony’s PS3 gaming stations were a huge hit, along with The Green Hornet’s “Black Beauty,” while 2K Sports’ area had long lines with gamers eager to play demos of NBA 2K11. Concept Motorsports showed off their wide selection of custom wheels and some of the coolest T-Rex’s around. The Monster Energy Zone had it all—including beautiful Monster Girls, great entertainment thanks to B-Boy and MC battles and delicious samples of their beverage offerings!

The host for the day’s festivities was none other than Big Black from MTV’s “Fantasy Factory,” as he helped hype the crowd for our stellar concert lineup! Chi-Town’s Finest Breakers showed off their latest dance moves, while T.R.U.B., Rebel Gang, REJ3CTZ, Kia Shine, DJ Quick, Travie McCoy, Waka Flocka provided the tunes!

Thanks to all our wonderful fans who came out to support, as well as all the car clubs and exhibitors. We’d also like to provide a special shout out to all of our sponsors of the Chicago stop, including Sony, Kawasaki, Mobil 1, UFC, Kinetik, Meguiar’s Enlinea.com, NBA2k11, The DUB Magazine Project, MTV2, TIS, Dropstars and DUB Garage.
