Things heated up in the desert when the 2012 DUB Show Tour arrived in Phoenix, AZ on Saturday, October 6th! The Phoenix Convention Center was the “it” place to be for any customized ride, bike or car enthusiast. We had an enormous turnout for DUB’s return to Phoenix, proven by never-ending lines at the box office for tickets and all the thanks we received from fans for returning to their city after a one-year hiatus. The region’s sickest rides were on display and many West Coast car clubs traveled to Phoenix to represent for their clubs. And after guests consumed the variety of vehicles on display, they were treated to loads of interactive booths and exhibits that were scattered about the convention center floor. Pirelli Tires showed off their latest tire technology, as well as their lovely models, while the Monster Energy Zone was buzzing with excitement as fans consumed their favorite Monster Energy flavors and had a chance to meet Deebo (from the movie Friday) and the beautiful Monster Energy girls.
The Harley-Davidson booth was packed with showgoers checking out their latest offerings, while the Harley-Davidson “Custom Bike Shoot-Out” was the place to be to see all the custom Harleys and get the chance to meet with the 2012 Playboy “Playmate of the Year,” Jaclyn Swedberg.
And because no DUB Show Tour stop would be complete without our amazing performances, The Boost Mobile Concert Series powered by LG provided tunes from the likes of Mahoganisoul, Bobby Brakins, Clyde Carson, DJ Quik, E-40 and Wale! Plus, we had DJs from local radio station Power 98.3 spin during performances, which kept the crowd musically satisfied throughout the entire day.
Another great highlight from the event was the Boost Mobile Community GiveBack Meet and Greet with Starlight Children’s Foundation AZ, where numerous kids got the chance to chat it up and take pics with DJ Quik and Wale.
Phoenix was a great addition to our schedule and we’d like to thank all the fans, car clubs and exhibitors who came out to the show. But nothing would have been possible without the support of our sponsors: Monster Energy, Boost Mobile, Pirelli, Harley-Davidson, UFC, Sony, Mobil 1, Kawasaki, “The DUB Magazine Project,” “DUB Latino” on mun2, TIS, Dropstars, Monster Energy Edition Off-Road Wheels, DUB Garage, MOTIV and Gear.
