Mercedes-Benz showed off two new rides and a concept: the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, the 2013 GL63 AMG and their futuristic off-road Ener-G-Force Concept. Audi showcased their A8L TDI, which features a TDI clean diesel engine along with other TDI versions in the A6, A7 and Q5 lines. Land Rover’s all-new flagship vehicle, their all-aluminum unibody 2013 Range Rover, made its debut for many loyal fans.
The 2013 Jaguar F-Type Roadster saw its big North American debut, which will be available with three different engine options. Jaguar also brought out their XFR-S for its world debut, which will be powered by a supercharged V8 that pushes out 550 hp. Bentley’s exhibit displayed the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne and Continental GT3 concept race car (their fastest-ever road car), along with the 2013 GT Speed.
Galpin Auto Sports announced their upcoming supercar and showed off the 2013 GT 500 Super Snake by Shelby, as well as the 2012 custom Shelby GT 500 widebody they dressed up (which was featured in our last issue). Aston Martin showcased the highly anticipated new 2014 Vanquish.
We were honored to have our 2013 DUB Edition Toyota Avalon displayed at the Toyota Booth, and we received great feedback from the showgoers. During the show’s exclusive press days, Lincoln treated the media to a booth full of their classic vehicles, such as a 1929 Lincoln L Dietrich convertible, a one-off 1937 Derham bodies Sports Sedan, a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr and Elizabeth Taylor’s bespoke 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II, which was the centerpiece of their historical showcase.
DUB LIVE! in Kentia Hall featured a variety of custom rides such as: TS Designs’ widebody Mercedes-Benz CLS and Camaro; Platinum Motorsport’s BMW M5 and Audi A7; Roadstarr’s Lamborghini Reventon; Mario’s Autoworks’ Chevy Master Deluxe; RDB LA/Giovanna Wheels’ Lamborghini Reventon and Porsche VRT; AKA Motoring/ Donz Wheels’ Mercedes-Benz G55; Hamann NA’s widebody Land Rover Evoque; Mister Cartoon’s Gangster Squad Chevy Master Deluxe decorated with Sanctiond products; Snoop Dogg’s Monster Energy Cadillac; and Kelderman’s huge Ford Superduty.
Harley-Davidson also showcased some of their new motorcycles and provided guests with a chance to enter and win a 2013 Harley-Davidson. Monster Energy was also sampling the new DUB Edition flavors, while the beautiful Monster Girls took time to meet with all the fans and showgoers and gave out their limited edition poster book. Others in attendance were RTW Motoring and their fleet of Mansory-modified vehicles and Al & Ed’s Autosound West Hollywood with their massive row of customized rides.
