Own a Piece of Ferrari History: Rare “Chairs & Flares” 1973 Dino GTS Up for Grabs

Gearheads, rejoice! A true collector’s item, a 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS with the coveted “chairs & flares” package, has hit the market.

This stunning machine, finished in classic Nero (black) paint and boasting a luxurious Beige Scuro Connolly leather interior originally, is one of only 99 ever produced. The “chairs & flares” designation refers to its unique features: widened steel fender flares, aggressive Daytona-style seats, and the inclusion of a desirable Borletti air conditioning system.

This iconic Dino has called the US home throughout its life. Originally delivered to a dealer in Reno, Nevada, it eventually found a happy owner in California. The 2000s saw it move across the country to New Jersey, where it received a meticulous restoration by renowned specialists Classic Showcase in Oceanside, California, in 2013. The restoration included updating the interior with dark red leather seats accented with black inserts. A further refresh in 2020 ensured any non-original parts were replaced with factory-correct components, making this Dino an accurate representation of Ferrari’s craftsmanship.

Now, this exquisite piece of automotive history awaits its next owner. Schaltkulisse currently has this rare “chairs & flares” 1973 Dino GTS available for purchase.
